Interventional Cardiology Fellowship

JPEG image.jpeg

The Harbor-UCLA Interventional Cardiology Fellowship is a collaborative program based at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Good Samaritan Hospital and is unique in the variety and complexity of the training experience. This fellowship program is supported by a total of eight dedicated interventional faculty at two facilities.

Trainees who will have completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship may apply for advanced training in our Interventional Cardiology Program, which is accredited by ACGME and consists of 12 months of clinical training in interventional cardiology.

As the Interventional fellow, you will:

  • Participate in all procedures including diagnostic catheterization, coronary interventions, peripheral, structural and transcatheter valve procedures

  • Join robust didactic sessions, cardiac catheterization conferences, angiogram review sessions, journal clubs and the educational activities available in the general fellowship program

  • Receive training across the breadth of coronary interventions in two high-volume laboratories in addition to a robust experience in structural, valvular and endovascular interventions.

If you would like to apply for this program, please submit your application online through ERAS.

About Harbor-UCLA Medical Center

Harbor-UCLA is a large, public tertiary care center providing cardiovascular services to a large and diverse patient population. Harbor serves its own community of patients in the South Bay area in addition to critically ill patients as part of Los Angeles County’s STEMI and Cardiac Arrest system of care.

There are four full-time interventional faculty alongside full-time faculty in general and adult congenital cardiology, advanced imaging, and electrophysiology.  All faculty hold academic appointments in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

The two modern cardiac catheterization laboratories at Harbor-UCLA provide 24/7 service and an opportunity to take substantial responsibility for interventional services with direct supervision of faculty.
